A second-half surge aided the Cyclones in their close matchup with Blackhawk Technical College. Moraine Valley ultimately came out ahead, 89-79.

The battle between these two teams vacillated nearly the entire game with the Talons taking a three-point lead at halftime. It wasn't until the final 10 minutes of the second half where the Cyclones found their offensive fire and stunted the Talons at the basket.

Reggie Strong and Yousef Jarad led the offense with 15 points each and Strong adding 11 rebounds. Grantas Sakenis and TJ Lee also each had 11 points with Sakenis earning the double-double as well (10 rebounds). Frank DeCarlo rounded out the scoring with 10 points.
