It's never easy for the Cyclones to play at Oakton College, but they pushed through for a narrow 59-53 victory.
Although the Owls took a brief early lead, the Cyclones eventually found their rhythm to get ahead 30-22 at halftime. The game remained tight in the second half, and the Owls outscored the Cyclones, but some consistent free throws helped Moraine Valley along the way. They went 72% from the line compared to the Owls' 61.6%.
Leading the way in this low-scoring affair was Josh Lawson with 20 points. Ali Oralkan and Yousef Jarad each scored 10 points while Oralkan had five rebounds and Jarad collected six and four steals.
