Cyclones reemerge in second half for victory over Scots
The matchup between the Cyclones and the McHenry County College Scots was a battle throughout both halves, with Moraine Valley getting the edge at the end.

The Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference is well balanced this season with nearly any team able to win on any given day. Although the Cyclones had defeated the Scots in their initial meeting last month, it wasn't a guaranteed win tonight. The Scots fought for every point, giving the Cyclones trouble under the basket. The teams alternated leads in the first half with the Scots going on a 9-0 run in the final three minutes of the first half to go ahead 43-39 at the buzzer.

The Cyclones pushed harder in the second half with a collective scoring effort and some aggressive moves on defense from Yousef Jarad. The Scots led until Jarad started a stretch of scoring that included Josh Lawson and J'Ron Powell. Once the Cyclones took this lead, they held on with consistent buckets and limiting the Scots' offense.

Ali Oralkan led with 24 points followed by Powell with 17, Lawson with 14, TJ Lee with 13 and Reggie Strong with 10.
