Cyclones get back on track

Cyclones get back on track
The Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference has eight teams that can win on any given day. Tonight, it was the Cyclones' turn as they earned a huge 80-64 win over Morton College.

The last time these two teams met in January, the Cyclones only defeated the Panthers by six points. And earlier this week, the Panthers defeated Waubonsee, which recently edged past the Cyclones for first place in conference. However, with the Chiefs' loss and the Cyclones win tonight, both are now tied for first.

The Cyclones regained confidence in their game. Although the Panthers had the lead several times in the first half, in the final minutes the Cyclones found their rhythm to earn the 30-22 lead at halftime. They stunted the Panthers' offense in the second half and extended their lead for the much-needed victory.

TJ Lee led with 18 points, going 4-for-7 from the three-point line. Reggie Strong added 17 points and three rebounds. Josh Lawson collected 16 points and six rebounds while Collin Miller had 10 points, including two three-pointers, and three rebounds.
