It was a heartbreaker of a game for the Cyclones as they fell in the final seconds to Prairie State College.
This game was a necessary win in order for the Cyclones to have a chance at a conference championship, but the Pioneers had other plans. It was a battle right from the tipoff as the lead changed hands, but the Pioneers held the 41-37 advantage at halftime. The Cyclones, however, did not give up. They fought back and were up by one with five seconds left in the game after TJ Lee sunk a bucket. A moment later, the Cyclones fouled the Pioneers, who made both free throws, dealing Moraine Valley the painful 82-81 loss.
Reggie Strong led with 15 points while Josh Lawson and Ali Oralkan (11 rebounds) each collected 14. Lee and Yousef Jarad each had 11 points.
