Shutout win for the Cyclones

Shutout win for the Cyclones

It took some time for the Cyclones to get rolling, but once they did, they were in control of the game. They defeated Waubonsee Community College 4-0.

The Cyclones had possession of the ball for most of the first half but only had a handful of shots on goal, including hitting the crossbar. From a corner kick at the 19-minute mark, Yael Diaz headed it over the Chiefs' keeper to get his team up 1-0. Waubonsee attempted to counter, and nearly scored with two minutes left, if not for a huge diving save by Rylan Decker.

In the second half, the Cyclones controlled the momentum, giving the Chiefs little opportunity to possess the ball and less chance to score. Meanwhile, Jacek Malinowski scored two more goals while Abdallah Omar added one more in the shutout.
