A big penalty kick in the final minutes edged the Cyclones past College of Lake County at home.

Although the Cyclones took control the first half of this game, the battle between these two conference teams was evident. They each held the other off from scoring in the first half but quickly countered and tied each other after halftime. Fernando Alvarez and Angel Rodriguez helped the cause to tie the game 2-2. With nine minutes to go, Alvarez earned the PK, sliding a goal to the right past the Lancers keeper. The Cyclones defense stopped them from scoring to earn the 3-2 victory. Giovanni Gonzalez was key in the net, collecting 10 saves.
