In their final regular season match, the Cyclones earned another tie, this time with one of the top ranked teams in Region 4 – Carl Sandburg College.

Although the Chargers started the scoring in the first half, the Cyclones never gave up. Thanks to a tough back line – Ivan Ramirez, Jesus Villanueva and Dawid Kurzeja – plus a solid performance in the net along with nine big saves from Giovanny Vega, they were able to shut down the Chargers offense.

More than halfway into the second half, Diego Ochoa was able to find the back of the net and knot the score to keep the Cyclones alive.
