The Cyclones had a bit of luck in their court as some defaulted matches from McHenry County College helped Moraine Valley earn the narrow 5-4 victory.

There were several battles through each match, however, the Cyclones were unable to capitalize on the key points in their sets. With an incomplete roster, the Scots had to forfeit five matches, which allowed the Cyclones to earn the important conference win.
