The Cyclones scored 15 runs in their doubleheader sweep of the visiting Oakton College Owls.

GAME ONE
Moraine Valley trailed by as many as five runs but came back to top the owls in a 13-8 victory.

Their first run came in the first inning after Londynn Sedlak lined out but scored a run. In the bottom of the inning, the Owls battled back with four runs followed by two more in their next at-bat. That deficit was short-lived as the Cyclones earned runs in the fourth through sixth innings. Owls errors gave the Cyclones three runs in addition to an RBI single from Brooklynn Sedlak in the fifth inning to retake the lead. A five-run sixth inning saw RBI singles from Abbey Mrskos and the Sedlak sisters.

Kasey Jackson pitched four and on-third innings in relief, giving up four hits and two runs while striking out one. Big hitters this game were Jill Zodrow (2-for-5, 3B, 3 RBIs), Londynn Sedlak (3-for-5, 2 RBIs), Brooklynn Sedlak (3-for-5, 3 RBIs), Haley Tracy (2-for-5), Estelle Loth (2-for-4), Keira Clancy (2-for-5, 2B, 2 stolen bases) and Mrskos (1-for-3, 3 RBIs).

GAME TWO
The Cyclones snatched the lead late in the 2-1 victory for the ultimate sweep.

Pitching was strong on both sides in this low-scoring game. The Cyclones scored first in the third inning after Clancy (2-for-3, RBI) hit an RBI single. The Owls knotted the score in their next at-bat. In the sixth inning, Clancy and Mrskos (3-for-3) got on with singles, but a wild pitch scored the winning run.

Brooklynn Sedlak earned the win, surrendering five hits and one run over seven innings and striking out three.
