The Cyclones picked up two conference wins after sweeping Elgin Community College on the road.
GAME ONE
The Cyclone bats were on fire in this game as they dominated the Spartans 10-1.
Within the first two innings, the Cyclones scored six runs to go up 6-0 thanks to an RBI double from Londynn Sedlak (1-for-4, 2B, RBI), a hard groundout from Abbie Trendle that scored one, RBI single from Brooklyn Sedlak (1-for-4, RBI), two-run double from Haley Tracy (1-for-3, 2B, 2 RBIs) and fielding errors from the Spartans.
They added four more runs in the fourth after Keira Clancy (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBIs) hit a two-run double followed by a groundout from Annabelle Rush that scored another run. Teagan Krzystof (1-for-1, RBI) knocked in the 10th run with a hard grounder to centerfield.
On the mound, Brooklynn Sedlak shut down the Spartans and earned the victory allowing just two hits and striking out eight with just one walk.
GAME TWO
The Cyclones built a five-run lead into the sixth inning and had to hold off Elgin's charge in the 6-4 win.
Tracy went 3-for-4 at the plate this game with a massive three-run homerun in the sixth inning after hitting a double and single earlier in the game. She also earned the win on the mound, allowing eight hits and four runs, striking out four and walking one.
Moraine Valley collected 15 hits this game, including an additional homerun from Jill Zodrow (2-for-4, HR, 2 RBIs) a few batters before Tracy. Estelle Loth (1-for-3, RBI), Londynn Sedlak (2-for-4), Brooklynn Sedlak (3-for-4), Clancy (2-for-4, 2B), Krzystof (1-for-3, 2B) and Madelynn Larmon (1-for-3) each had hits this game.
The Spartans made a brief comeback in the top of seventh, collecting three runs, but it wasn't enough to best the Cyclones.
