Another big outing, and doubleheader win, for the Cyclones

The Cyclones collected 32 runs in their sweep of Morton College at home.

GAME ONE
The first onslaught was a 16-1 victory thanks to a big second inning. The Cyclones scored 10 runs, three coming from fielding errors on a hard grounder from Abbie Trendle. Jill Zodrow (2-for-2, 2B, RBI) hit an RBI single while Keira Clancy (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBIs) drove two runs home on a double. Haley Tracy (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) hit into a fielder's choice that scored one, and Teagan Krzystof hit a sac fly that scored one. Another fielding error and stolen base scored two more than inning.

The Cyclones added to the lead an inning later after Londynn Sedlak (2-for-4, RBI) and Estelle Loth (1-for-2, 2 2B, RBI) doubled and Brooklynn Sedlak (2-for-4, 2B, 3B, 3 RBIs) tripled. Londynn Sedlak and Zodrow collectively stole five bases for the Cyclones. On the mound, Kasey Jackson earned the win, surrendering seven hits and one run over five innings and striking out five.

GAME TWO
The Cyclones easily dispatched the Panthers in a 16-4 victory.

Although the Cyclones scored first on RBI singles from Clancy (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Krzystof (1-for-4, RBI) along with some fielding errors, the Panthers tied the game in their first at-bat. It happened again in the third inning, but two consecutive six-run innings from the Cyclones helped solidify the win.

Loth (2-for-2, 3 RBIs) hit a three-run homerun in the fourth inning while Londynn Sedlak (3-for-4, 3B, RBI), Tracy (3-for-4, 2B, 2 RBIs) and Maddelyn Larmon (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) each hit RBI singles and Trendle (2-for-4, 2 2B, 3 RBIs) hit an RBI double in the fifth. Alexandra Wolcott began the game for the Cyclones, allowing four hits and four runs, striking out two. Tracy earned the save, striking out two.
