An early scoring effort wasn't enough for the Cyclones to bypass conference rival Morton College as they lost the home match 3-1.

Within the first five minutes, Taylor London found the back of the net to get her team ahead. However, two mistakes by keeper Daisy Noemi Campos allowed the Panthers to get ahead 2-1 heading into halftime. The Cyclones defense was solid, and the midfielders were ready whenever the ball passed through, but the forwards were unable to finish as the Panthers defense swarmed them. The Cyclones controlled the second half of the game and hit the post in a near scoring miss halfway through.
