The women's cross country team wishes all the best to its lone sophomore, Jaime Funk. She helped her 2019 team earn an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship, earning a personal best in that final race.
Funk finished her first semester in Moraine Valley's Nursing Program. She also is in the dual enrollment program at the University of St. Francis (USF). She is working toward an associate degree from Moraine Valley by Dec. 2022 and bachelor's degree from USF by May 2023. Although she will still be taking classes at Moraine Valley, she will not run cross country.
"I wish her all the best in the world. I believe she will be an incredible nurse because she has the work ethic, the willingness, and the right personality to help people and make their days better," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas.
