The Cyclones had a nice confidence boost at the Warrior Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran College in West Allis, WI, placing sixth out of seven teams. They were the only community college in the 6K race.
Desiree Mendoza ran well and led the Cyclone pack, finishing in 26:34.59 for 16th place out of 55 runners. Rylee Milenkovic has stepped up the last few races and run fearlessly, coming across the line next in 27:14.27 in 22nd. Mia Villa is still developing her skills but ran 27:43.97 in 28th. Mariah Karamagianis (27:51.89, 30th) and Annabel Lipkie (28:06.91, 31st) both ran lifetime PRs while not feeling 100% this race.
"We have a weekend off of racing, and I think that'll be good for everyone as we turn our focus to the conference championship in two weeks," said Head Coach Dimitri Dimizas.
