The Cyclones ended their 2025 half of the season on a nine-game win streak after defeating Milwaukee Area Technical College at home, 85-65.
Although the Stormers put up a good fight under the basket, and were able to get within two points at halftime and tie the game five minutes into the third quarter, the Cyclones eventually pressed and pulled away. They became more aggressive in rebounding in the second half and the 12-for-15 free throw shooting by Jadea Johnson helped the Cyclones hold the lead from start to finish. The fourth quarter saw some big blocks from Trajany Walker and Mikayla Summey, causing the Stormers to score only 12 points and give the Cyclones their 10th win of the season.
Johnson led the offense once again with 22 points, and she grabbed six rebounds. Laila Houseworth collected 15 points while Walker had 14. Shakila Brownlow amassed 13 points while Summey had 10 points and five rebounds.
This strong start to the season has aided the Cyclones in their quest to reclaim their dominance in the conference and region. They'll be back in action on Jan. 6 when they start their run in conference as they face Waubonsee Community College at home.
