The Cyclones solidified their first place finish in the conference last night after an 89-54 victory over Prairie State College.
After a fairly competitive first quarter saw the score tied 16-16, the Cyclones surged ahead in the next 10 minutes, outscoring the Pioneers 22-6 and holding off their scoring attempts. They continued to lead for the rest of the game.
Six Cyclones finished in double digits led by Mikayla Summey with 16 points in 17 minutes. Laila Houseworth added 14 points. Jadea Johnson (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Shakila Brownlow (12 points, 11 rebounds) each collected double-doubles. Mariah Robinson scored a season-high 12 points.
