The Cyclones set the tone for their run in the playoffs after taking down Kishwaukee College 108-65 in the Region 4 quarterfinals.
From tipoff, the Cyclones took control of this game, getting on the board first and staying ahead for all 40 minutes. Moraine Valley carried a hefty 60-26 lead into halftime. In the fourth quarter, the Kougars went on a run in the last few minutes to outscore the Cyclones, but the lead was too much to overcome.
Nearly every Cyclone scored in this game as Jadea Johnson led the way with 26 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists and five steals. Shakila Brownlow contributed 24 points and had five steals. Isabel Lopez had a big night with 14 points, 12 of which came from three-pointers. Mikayla Summey collected 12 points while Laila Houseworth rounded out the offense with 10 points and six assists.
The Cyclones will face Carl Sandburg College in the semifinals on Saturday, Feb. 28, noon, at Rock Valley College.
